Long Term Illness patients are allowed to have certain products dispensed depending on the Condition they suffer from. TouchStore Rx at present has no way to integrate with the LTI Core Lists provided by the PCRS that detail these Conditions and the products allowed under them. As such there is no easy way for TouchStore Rx to determine if a given dispense to a Long Term Illness patient will result in a Claim Reject or not. Our *Claim Defender rules work to help prevent Claim Rejects but without an easy way to know which products can be dispensed under LTI to a given patient, most dispenses will flag as a possible Claim Reject.
To avoid this, users can manually maintain a list of the Allowed Products for a given patient. When dispensing to the Long Term Illness scheme, Claim Defender rules will check the list of Allowed Products for a given patient and will not flag these products as possible Claim Rejects.
To add products to a patient's Allowed Products list:

Navigate to the patient's PMR

Click Edit (F3) or press (KEYBOARD: F3)

Select the Allowed Products tab

Any products already added for this patient will show up here

To add a new product, click Add Product

A product search window will appear - search for the product you wish to add then click Select
- To remove a product from the list, highlight the product and click Delete Product
