Using the product search, search for the product you want to assign a location to
- Select the Stock tab and click Add New Loaction
- Choose the new location from the list

Specify the opening stock quantity at this location

In the Full Packs field, type in the number of units of stock you are putting into the new location.
- The Green banner shows you how many units you are adding to this location
- Set the Default Locations for this product
- There are 3 options:
Use my new location as the primary location
When you select this option, it will be the product's primary location. This is generally only used when in the case of a shop, this is where the product is on the shop floor.
Use my new location as the put-away location (typically only used for Warehouses)
This is only used where this product, when being booked in on an order, is always put away straight away. If you take this, then each time you book the order in the stock will automatically get put into the location specified for the overstock to be stored.
Use my new location as the pick location
This is used where you are carrying over stock of a product, and you want to pick that stock to put out onto the shop floor. When this is ticked, and you are using the handheld unit, there is an option on the handheld unit to select the pick location type in the amount of units being taken out of the pick location, and when you press save on the screen, the stock gets moved from the pick location to the primary location.
- Press the add location button to save both the stock quantity entered and, if you have chosen any of the default locations for this product.
