If a barcode scanner is not working correctly there are a number of steps we can complete to troubleshoot the issue
A) Is there power going to the scanner? Any lights on the scanner?
B) Disconnect & Reconnect the scanner
C) Is the barcode readable?
- look at the barcode for any obvious damage or missing elements.
- Will the barcode scan using other barcode scanners?
D) Is the device making strange sounds?
E) Restart the machine
