How to Delete a Stock Category
- Firstly, you can't delete a stock category to has products assigned to it.
- If you try to delete a category that has products assigned, you will get a similar error message as displayed below.
- You will need to move the products to another category/department first
- To do this:
- Go to Advanced Search on the Retail 365 home screen
- Select 'Add a filter' & choose 'Group' from the list
- Start by typing in the category name you wish to delete & then select it
- The list of products assigned to this category will now appear
- To do this:
- Click on the Pencil icon

The ' Multi Product Quick Edit' screen will then appear

Go to the 'Group' option & select the new group you want to assign these products to
- Click 'Update Products'
- The below message will display temporarily letting you know the change was successful
- You can now go back to Config--> Stock Categories--> Select Group & press the trash icon beside the stock category you want to remove
- Click 'Yes, delete this item' or 'Nope, I want to keep it'
- You will get the below message temporarily letting you know it has been deleted
