Unable to Print Test Pages & Red Light Flashing on the Printer

NOTE: The below step is ONLY USED FOR Zebra ZD421D and Zebra ZD421T

• If you are unable to print test pages and there are red lights flashing on the printer, make sure that the sensor is aligned to the centre.

Loads of Blank Labels printing after you print a Drug/ Bag or test page label

• If loads of blank labels are printing out when printing drug/bag labels or test pages and the lights on the printer are flashing up red:

  1. Make sure that the printer is not plugged into a USB 3.0 port on the PC as it should be plugged into a USB 2.0 port.

  • Black USB Port is 2.0**
  • Blue USB port is 3.0**

  2. Ensure 'Thermal Printer' is not ticked in RX

  • Go to Modules-> Config -> Label Printing

3. Recalibrate the printer

• Click on the Start button or press the Windows key.
• Type "Control Panel" in the search bar and select it from the search results
• Select View Devices & Printers

• Select Printers & Scanners

• Locate the Zebra ZD241 Label printer & select it

• Select Printer Properties

• Select the Advanced tab

• Select Calibrate

4. Print a test page, if successful, restart RX & try print a label

How to factory reset the printer

The printer can be reset if the printer is causing issues or there are lights on the printer which should not be there.

• Hold down both the Pause and Feed buttons together.
  • While holding them down, press the power button to turn the printer on.
