If a patient leaves a script to be dispensed, you can now add them to the Rx Script Queue directly from the POS.
Please note: To enable this functionality:
- You must have Rx 365
- You must have POS 365
- You must have the Script Queue functionality enabled
To add a script to the Script Queue:
-
Sign in to the POS screen
-
Select the 'Patients' button
- From here, search for your patient using the 'begin here to search for a patient' box
-
When the patient has been selected from the list, a read-only version of their PMR will be displayed
-
From here, you can select the items that the patient is requesting by clicking each item to highlight it. Clicking the item again will deselect the item.
- Once all of the items are selected, select the '+Add to Script Queue' to add these items
to the queue.
- If this is a new prescription and there are no items on the PMR to highlight, you can press Add to Script Queue without selecting any items.
- The screen below will then be displayed to you
- You can enter notes (for example, list any drugs on the script that the patient does not want) and select the Collection Time.
- The Collection Time defaults to 5 minutes in the future (indicating ASAP) but can be easily changed to 1 Hour, 2 hours, etc. This can be handy if a patient calls in about a repeat prescription and requests it to be ready in 2 hours.
-
Once everything is correct, click the 'Save' button
-
The patient will then be added to the Script Queue in Rx 365, and the following message will be displayed at the top of the PMR.
